About Jeanette
Over 30 years in finance recruitment, Jeanette still works hands on in her business placing all levels of finance staff.
She started her working career training to be an accountant with Coopers and Lybrand in the City after studying German with French at London University
She is a former REC Board Director and spent 5 years as the Chair of the REC Employment Policy Committee, during which she liaised with civil servants and trade unions on matters affecting the recruitment industry
She was instrumental in forming the REC strategy on the Agency Workers’ Directive, now the Agency Workers’ Regulations
She travelled numerous times to Brussels to lobby MEP’s and EU officials about the UK recruitment industry’s stance on the Agency Workers’ Directive
She was invited on to two government working groups looking at how to implement aspects of the Agency Workers’ Directive into UK law
She is currently a committee member of the Association of Recruitment Consultancies
She was awarded an Honarary Fellowship by the Board of the REC for her services to the industry in December 2008
